Golf Hotel Punta Ala is an historic resort on the Tuscan coast. It is located in an area that has always been considered a real natural paradise, a place to relax and regenerate surrounded by green pine forests, long golden beaches and crystal-clear waters of the gulf.

The Resort offers 130 elegant rooms and suites renovated in 2018.

Rooms

DELUXE SUITES: 30-34mq, overlook the gardens and swimming pool. Some are located on the ground floor and have direct access to the gardens. They consist of a bedroom, lounge and bathroom with antechamber. They are enhanced by a spacious balcony with view. These comfortable and elegant Deluxe Suites can accommodate up to 4 people. Besides: lounge with sofa furnished balcony, safety-deposit box, mini-bar, telephone, LCD TV, hair dryer EXECUTIVE SUITES: Large Suite 55 mq, divided into two spaces each with its own bathroom and antechamber. Daytime and night-time spaces elegantly furnished and enhanced by balconies furnished with a table and armchairs to enjoy the wonderful views over the swimming pool and surrounding gardens. The Exclusive Suites have direct access to the swimming pool and can accommodate up to 5 people. Other facilities: 2 bathrooms each with a shower and antechamber, lounge with sofa, twin bed, safety-deposit box, mini-bar, telephone, LCD TV, hair dryer VIP SUITES: Refined and elegant furnishings adorn the space which is divided into an extremely spacious night-time area, lounge with comfortable sofa and two separate bathrooms. VIP Suites have a view of the gardens at the rear of the hotel. Some have a patio furnished with table and chairs. VIP Suites can accommodate up to 5 people. View over the gardens at the rear of the hotel Ground-floor Suites have a furnished patio; 2wo bathrooms each with a shower and antechamber Lounge with sofa, twin beds, safety-deposit box, mini-bar, telephone, LCD TV, hair dryer.

Restaurants and bars

Golf Hotel Punta Ala offers 2 restaurants, one in the hotel and one on the private beach. The hotel restaurant, overlooking the park, offers excellent cuisine based on the use of mainly local and seasonal ingredients according to the philosophy of "fresh, Italian and simple" by the starred chef Andrea Ribaldone, who since years has signed the food concept of the JSH hotels. In an elegant space enlightened by large windows overlooking the garden, you can taste different dished from an à la carte menu that varies every day and includes 4 different courses. The restaurant on the beach offers fresh fish catch of the day, first and second courses of sea and land, vegetable side dishes. Admiring the sunset over the sea, you can enjoy the best cuisine and even a pizza cooked in a wood oven, always available in the restaurant on the beach. At lunch, salads and sandwiches of all kinds will cheer your intermezzo.

Facilities

Other facilities: the brand new Violina SPA by Clarins spread over 800 square meters, a beautiful outdoor pool surrounded by greenery and a large private beach, fitness center, tennis courts and the proximity to the Punta Ala Golf Club allow guests to keep fit and play golf. Mini Club, conference Centre, shuttle Service to the beach, piano bar, car Park.

Beach: the private beach is 700 mt from the hotel, you can reach it by foot or by hotel shuttle bus. Sunchairs +beach umbrella + towel included (on the beach: 3 lines of umbrellas). Other beaches in the Maremma region are wild and enchanting. Hidden by pinewoods and accessed using pathways wrapped in lush, fragrant vegetation, these beaches are not to be missed. Among the most beautiful are: Cala Violina, Cala Martina, Cala Civetta, La Polveriera, Casetta Civinini.

Tourist Activities


Punta Ala is a perfect base to discover the most evocative mediaeval villages in Maremma and also the towns and cities of Tuscany famous for their art. Jewels such as Castiglione della Pescaia on the coast, as well as Scarlino, Gavorrano and Massa Marittima set inland, are only 10 to 20 minutes driving time from the hotel. The more adventurous can travel further afield to visit the following towns and cities: Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio with Grosseto being the nearest. Maremma is famous for its nature reserves. The following can all be visited from Punta Ala: Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago Toscano, the largest marine nature reserve in Europe. Parco della Maremma with its chain of untamed hills stretching down to the coast to meet long, golden sandy beaches and cliffs. You will also find marshland, pine groves, grazing land and farmland. The rich ecosystem of the charming Diaccia Biotrona makes it one of the most important wetlands in Italy. Archaeological sites: Maremma is also rich in archaeological sites with the following amongst the most interesting: Roselle with its perfectly preserved Roman amphitheatre, Vetulonia with its necropolis containing over 1,000 tombs and Populonia, an ancient Etruscan settlement overlooking the sea.
Food & Wine: this is one of the most diverse and interesting parts of Italy. You will never be bored of the multitude of enchanting countryside sites: - the tuff itinerary (Manciano, Pitigliano and Sorano); - the flavour, fragrance and charm itinerary (Capalbio, Roccalbegna, Semproniano, Scansano, Magliano in Toscana and Campagnatico); - the water, colour and splendour itinerary (Island of Giglio, Monte Argentario, Orbetello and Grosseto).
